A-TACS == "There goes my Multicam Investment"
#16
Just as I received my TAG Gladiator (with bib) A-TACS, Volk releases their entire A-TACS range :-

It really doesn't seem green enough to fit in Japanese forest in my opinion. A little too much white.

Not bad, not bad, webbing is very present though! But at least color goes well with MC Wink

Yes, that's my greatest gripe about this, the damn webbing. Just like the old MC vests if you remember, came with the non-MC webbing. I guess the idea is that the webbing in theory will be covered anyway with other A-TACS gear (pouches, what-not).

How's the material in itself for the A-TACS? Is it Cordura like for the MC?

I have to admit, the A-TACS camo is far from ugly, and as much as I'm usually not a big fan of camo on weapons, the A-TACS looks pretty badass on the ACR and M4 they show there.

On the other hand, A-TACS looks a little like something has been dipped in mud, and the BDUs just have a bit of a "dirty" look with this camo. It's also a little too bright for the green Japanese vegetation, and seem like it would only work well in urban or fewer vegetation type of environment.

Anyhow, if someone finds a way to put A-TACS camo on an AEG, I'd be interested, wouldn't mind my ACR with it Big Grin

I have but it's extremely costly. Interestingly I see A-TACS to be more like art painting.
