New Tokyo Marui Products Announced
#1
Just saw TM's site,

they got a new M1911 (WW2 style by the looks of it) + SCAR-H + Tan Armalite, maybe a Mk18/Mk12 again with DD rails judging by the looks of the free float rail system. Finally, the Springfield XD.

Hmm, Tan AR. Damn that's my favorite combo! Interested to see which lines the Scar and this new AR fall into. The SCAR is almost certainly an EBB, but I wonder if this new AR is gonna fall in. I'd actually like to see a full length M16 style rifle, as that would be something different for this particular line. Or if it's a MK18 style deal, maybe a High Cycle type?

Well if I can't get my RECCE fixed, I have a good excuse now to own one to Big Grin

Hey guys, I just visited TM's site and I don't see any of those guns there. I'm a bit confused.

It looks like they have removed the teaser. I think they are revealing them at the Tokyo Hobby show and it starts today... so the full details should be out soon Smile

Does the Recce and Scar EBB use mags different from usual AEGs? As in, would Magpul mags be compatible?

The RECCE and SCAR use the special mags that have the both catch release when you run out of BBs. You can get adapters though that allow you to use regular BBs. I think there have been posts here about the adapter, but I don't remember the name of it.

I will so be getting a Tan RECCE. My favourite gun build was the KJ Works M4 with the DD front end, and replicating that with the RECCE will be sweet.

Bastards had to go and make a Tan RECCE! Bah! I'll pass, since aside from the coloring I already have that gun. Was hoping like Zero for a Mk18 style gun. You can use non EBB mags in an M4 with an adapter like this : http://www.shootercbgear.com/product_inf...rgjndctd96

I think Freedom Arts also has one, and there's a metal one, but I'd avoid it because it cuts into the mags. Don't think it'll fit in the Scar without modifying. Had some issues with my Magpul M series mags, they were too slim so I had to add a little width using some floor pads for furniture legs.

Alright, so the adapter stays in the EBB basically, and then good to use classic mags? Sounds doable.

Holy molly, I missed the price stag though, 64,000, that's just... insane!

It's closer to 44,000 at echigoya, which is what I paid. That's just the MSRP they are showing.

Yep, about as old as the original SOPMOD. Strangely I couldn't find that one for awhile, and ended up having to order the Lonex one instead. Seems to be back in stock at Echigoya last I checked.
