Tokyo Marui Hobby Show Teaser Trailer
#1
Well folks, it's that time of year again.
Tokyo Marui has posted a flash trailer of some of the items they will be revealing at the Shizuoka Hobby Show in May.

You can see the trailer here...

Individual images

Image One - No idea what this is, but that charging handle (?) might be a clue to people that know their guns.

Image 2 - G36C Electric Blowback?

Image 3 - Resident Evil Inspired handgun? (http://residentevil.wikia.com/Robert_Kendo)

Image 4 - Not sure, but looks like another handgun variant.

What do you folks think we have here?

Just my two cents -

but i believe image 1 is a variant of an MSAR Steyr, or some type of an AUG.
if you look at the charging handle, it's definatly a steyr, and you can also see a brief glance at the distinct trigger guard AUG's have around the whole pistol grip.

I got an Microtech AUG in the US, and as soon as I saw that picture, it reminded me of my AUG. I'm pretty positive it's and AUG of some sort tho.
As for the last hangun, it's probably a competition variant of a 1911, you can see the "OP" one the side of the rail that marks the distinct TM "OPS 45" insignia.

Makes sense, they haven't done an AUG for awhile, and since they already worked out the internals for one, might as well go back to it. Wonder if it will be High Cycle or something? The Resident Evil gun also makes sense since it's the 15th anniversary of the franchise.

Judging by the fact that the AUG has a short barrel, and a somewhat CQB platform, I have reason to think that it'll be a HC gun, rather than an EBB - although, and EBB AUG would be awesome.

Here's what the AUG will probably look like:

Looks like it's based off the Para 9mm subgun version. I wonder if they'll go with 9mm clips or just stick with the traditional AUG mags they already have. I imagine if it's going to be a HC, it would probably use the full size mags to get the most BB's possible.

What if they cheat and just make it use Uzi or MAC10/11 mags?

They could, but again, if it's a high cycle gun you want to get as many BB's as you can in the mag. So normal Aug mags are probably preferable. Also, it's less work having to redesign the mag well.

Well if you have a regular Scar, you could just get the barrel cut down. Not much else to see. Was hoping for some original pistols, like the Px4.

i'm not really ticked off at the cqb scar, just more so over that the cqb scar looks so "perfect" while my scar has a wobbly barrel, shallow rails, bad firing selector, and it just pisses me off to see "perfect scars"

as for innovative stuff, i was also hoping for that USP or the XD to come out, but i'm really liking the AUG, it reminds me of the SMG in HALO ODST when u put a suppressor on.

Didn't Marui do a recall to replace the wobbly rail on the Scars? I had a loose gas block on my RECCE, but I used some threadlocker and it hasn't wobbled since. I think the AUG is my fav of the new guns, but I wish they could use regular M4 mags (more a personal thing since I have a crap load of M4 mags).
